Terms of Use

The rules for using Photo Compressor, including saving, ads and Premium.

← Photo Compressor

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Levmer Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”) for the Photo Compressor app for iPhone (“the App”). On the iPhone Home Screen the App is named PhotoCompressor. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

The App compresses photos on your iPhone. Photos are processed on the device and are not uploaded to us. You can choose how strongly to compress, keep JPEG or convert to another format, and, with Premium, change the dimensions as a percentage of the original. You can select up to 30 photos at a time. Compressing more than one photo at once is a Premium feature. An animated image, such as a GIF, is opened as a still image.

The App is free to download. In the free version, JPEG output and the Low and Medium compression levels are available, and saving a result requires a completed rewarded ad, limited to three per calendar day. Premium removes that requirement and unlocks the extra features in Section 6. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Who can use the App

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, or use the App with a parent or guardian’s permission. The App is not directed at children under 13.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by Apple’s Usage Rules. You may not copy, sell, rent or sublicense the App, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, bypass ads or Premium limits, or use the App on photos you are not allowed to use.

4. Your photos

Your photos remain yours. We claim no rights in them. They are not uploaded to us.

Compression changes the file. A stronger setting makes a smaller file and can soften the picture. Resize, when you use it, scales the photo down by a percentage of its original size. It does not enlarge the photo. Format conversion creates a new file in the format you chose. Check the result before you rely on it.

Nothing is written to Photos until you save and, if asked, allow adding photos. If you turn on Delete original photos, the App removes those source photos when iOS allows it. If you refuse that access, or if an original cannot be matched, the compressed copy can still be saved and the original stays in your library. iOS may ask you to confirm each deletion. Deleted photos go to Recently Deleted, where iOS keeps them for about 30 days. If you turn on Remove metadata, the saved file is written without location, date and camera details. We are not responsible for a result you choose to save.

5. Advertising

Without Premium, a completed rewarded ad is required to save, up to three finished ads per calendar day. The count resets on the next calendar day on your iPhone. Ad content comes from Google and its partners. We do not control or endorse individual ads. If you leave an ad before it finishes, or if an ad does not load, it does not count and saving stays locked. When no ads remain that day, saving requires Premium.

6. Premium

What it includes. Premium currently includes High, Max. and custom compression, compressing several photos at once, converting to PNG, HEIC and WebP, resizing by a percentage of the original, and saving without ads. JPEG, Low and Medium stay available without Premium.

Plans. Weekly is an auto-renewable subscription. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not renew. The price is shown in the App before you buy, in the currency Apple provides for your App Store account. We do not set that price in these Terms. After you buy, you can open the same Premium screen from Settings to review the plan.

Weekly renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Weekly renews for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You manage or cancel Weekly in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel it. After a Lifetime purchase, cancel Weekly yourself in the App Store if you still have it. We cannot cancel it for you. A Weekly subscription bought in TestFlight follows Apple’s shortened test schedule and can expire quickly. That does not change how Weekly works on the App Store.

Refunds. Payments are handled by Apple. Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Restore. On a new install, Restore checks your Apple Account for an active Weekly subscription or a Lifetime purchase.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its name, design and code, belongs to Levmer Studios or its licensors. Apple, iPhone and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google and AdMob are trademarks of Google LLC.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on Apple Photos, the App Store, In-App Purchase and Google AdMob. Your use of those services follows their own terms. We are not responsible for their outages or changes.

9. Availability

We work to keep the App running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free. We may ship updates, and we may stop offering the App. Active Weekly subscriptions are then handled under Apple’s rules.

10. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise a particular file size, that every photo format will open, or that an ad will always load. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived, including in the EEA, the UK and Türkiye.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of photos, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for a claim about the App is limited to the amount you paid us through Apple for Premium in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including liability for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.

12. Ending use

You can stop using the App by deleting it. A Weekly subscription must be canceled separately through Apple. The license ends if you break these Terms.

13. App Store terms

If you downloaded the App from the App Store, these Terms are between you and Levmer Studios only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the App and its content. Apple has no duty to provide support. If the App fails a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price of the App, if any. Apple has no other warranty duty for the App to the maximum extent the law allows. We, not Apple, are responsible for product claims and for intellectual-property claims about the App. You confirm you are not in a country under a U.S. embargo and are not on a U.S. prohibited-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye may hear disputes. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. The new version will be published on this page with a new date. If you keep using the App after the change, you accept the updated Terms.
