This Privacy Policy explains what information the Swiplete app for iPhone (“Swiplete” or “the App”) uses, why it is used, and what choices you have. The App is developed by Levmer Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy applies to the App and to any emails you send us about it.
At a glance
- Your photos and videos are processed only on your iPhone. We never upload them, and we cannot see them.
- There is no Swiplete account and we do not run our own servers. We do not use a separate analytics or crash-reporting service of our own.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner and a native ad on the home screen and in Settings, and a rewarded ad when you confirm a deletion (except in Failed shots). Google’s Mobile Ads SDK collects some device, usage and diagnostic information to deliver and measure those ads (Section 4).
- The App does not request permission to track you, so the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not made available to the App or its advertising SDK through the App.
- Swiplete Premium is sold and billed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
1. Who is responsible
Levmer Studios is responsible for the processing described in this policy, except where Google or Apple decide on their own how to use the information they collect (Sections 4 and 5). In those cases they act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies.

2. Your Photo Library
Swiplete needs access to your Photo Library to work. With your permission, the App reads your photos, videos, Live Photos, GIFs, albums and related metadata (such as creation date, media type, file size, and, where present, camera settings stored with the file) so that it can:
- show your photos and videos one at a time so you can keep them or mark them for deletion;
- let you go through all photos, a single album, screenshots, or videos (largest files first);
- find failed shots on your device, such as blurry photos, accidental black photos (for example taken in a pocket) and photos that came out white;
- delete the items you confirm.
All of this happens on your device. We do not upload, copy, sell or share your photos, videos or their metadata, and they are never used for advertising.
Failed shots. To suggest photos that may be blurry or accidental, the App inspects a small on-device copy of each photo. It looks at how sharp the edges are (a Laplacian sharpness check), how dark or bright the pixels are, and, when the file includes it, shutter speed from the photo’s own camera metadata (EXIF). These checks run on your iPhone. They are not used to recognize or identify people, they are not sent anywhere, and they are not stored after the scan except as a short-lived on-device result so the App can show you a swipe deck. Suggestions can be wrong. You always decide what to keep or delete.
Deletion. Nothing is deleted without your confirmation. When you confirm, the App asks Apple Photos to delete the selected items, and iOS shows its own confirmation. Deleted items are moved to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where they may remain recoverable for a limited period before being permanently deleted by Apple. If you use iCloud Photos, deletions apply to every device signed in to the same Apple Account.
Limited access. If you allow access only to selected photos, the App can see only those items. You can change Photos access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Swiplete.
3. Information stored on your device
The App saves a small amount of information locally on your iPhone using Apple’s standard app storage (UserDefaults), including:
- your settings: language (which follows the device), light or dark appearance, swipe direction, and whether you chose to continue with limited Photos access;
- whether you have finished the introduction;
- cached library statistics, such as the number and total size of your photos and videos;
- how many rewarded ads you have finished on the current calendar day, so the daily limit can be applied;
- timers that decide when the next Premium offer may appear;
- whether Premium is active, as reported by Apple, so the App can open without ads.
This information stays on your device and we cannot access it. Deleting the App removes it.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Swiplete is supported by ads served by Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). Currently, ads may appear:
- as a banner and a native ad on the home screen;
- as a banner and a native ad in Settings;
- as a rewarded video when you confirm a deletion in Photos, Screenshots or Videos. You choose to watch the ad. A finished view counts toward a daily limit of five. An ad you leave before it finishes, or that does not load, does not use one of those five. The count resets at the start of the next calendar day on your iPhone. When none remain, you can still delete that day by subscribing to Premium.
Confirming a deletion in Failed shots does not show a rewarded ad. It opens Swiplete Premium instead. No ads are shown while Swiplete Premium is active.
To deliver ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the App automatically collects certain information and sends it to Google. According to Google’s disclosures, this includes:
- your IP address and the approximate (coarse) location derived from it;
- device and app identifiers, such as an app-specific identifier Google calls the publisher first-party ID;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language and app version;
- ad and usage information, such as which ads were shown, ad views and taps, and app launches;
- diagnostics, such as crash logs and performance data related to the SDK.
Google uses this information to show and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain and improve its services. Google’s use of this information is governed by its own policies:
Google Privacy Policy
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
How Google uses information for advertising
No cross-app tracking. The App does not show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, so iOS does not make the advertising identifier (IDFA) available to the App or its advertising SDK through the App. The App does not request permission to track you and does not use the IDFA for cross-app or cross-website tracking. Ad performance may be measured with Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework.
Personalized ads and consent. Ads may be chosen based on context, such as the App itself, your approximate location and your device language. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google serves personalized ads only where valid consent has been obtained; otherwise it serves non-personalized or limited ads.
Your choices. You can remove all ads by subscribing to Swiplete Premium. You can learn more about Google ads and manage your Google ad settings at My Ad Center.
5. Purchases (Swiplete Premium)
Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment and handles your billing information under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your payment card or other payment details. The App uses Apple’s StoreKit on your device to check whether your subscription is active. Apple provides us with sales reports that do not identify you personally.
6. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include, such as screenshots or your device model. We use this only to reply to you and to fix problems. We retain this information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request and handle related support issues, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
7. What we do not do
- We do not have user accounts or our own servers.
- We do not use a separate analytics or crash-reporting service of our own. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect diagnostics related to the SDK, as described in Section 4. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us; these do not identify you.
- We do not upload, sell, rent or share your photos.
- We do not sell your personal information.
8. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the App’s features you use and, if you subscribe, Premium.
- Legitimate interests: to offer a free, ad-supported version, to keep the App secure and working, and to answer support requests.
- Consent: where the law requires it for advertising, such as personalized ads. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligations: where we must keep or disclose information by law.
Access to your photos is controlled by your iOS permission, which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings.
9. How long information is kept
- Photos and videos: never stored or received by us.
- Information on your device: until you delete the App.
- Emails: only as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request and related support issues.
- Advertising data: kept by Google according to its own retention policies.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR (EEA), UK GDPR, KVKK (Türkiye), LGPD (Brazil), Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information held about you and receive a copy;
- correct or delete it;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- opt out of targeted advertising;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because we do not keep information about you on servers, you can delete all data the App stores by deleting the App. For information collected by Google for advertising, please use Google’s tools or contact Google. For anything we hold, such as your emails, contact us and we will respond within the time required by law. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
11. Children
Swiplete is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
Google may process advertising data in the United States and other countries, using safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Emails you send us are stored by our email provider, which may also process them outside your country.
13. Security
Your photos never leave your device and remain protected by iOS security. We take reasonable measures to protect the emails you send us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App or the law changes. We will publish the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we may also let you know in the App or in the App Store release notes.
